American Made Ford Mustang Icon Races through Time to 2018!

For over 50 years the American made Ford Mustang has delighted young and old alike.  The first generation (1964 ½  to 1973) production of the Ford Mustang was revealed to the public in the Ford Pavilion during the New York World’s Fair on April 17, 1964, the very same day that it would go up for sale around the Country.

To everyone’s surprise the Ford Mustang was affordable and loved right out of the lot.  Ford anticipated selling approximately 100,000 models the first year, but phenomenally beat their own goal selling close to half a million!

From the 1st generation Ford Mustang to the present 6th generation there is no stopping the fame of this beloved American made icon. To learn more about the history of the Mustang visit Edmunds.com who have an excellent article showcasing all the generational history up to 2005 in superb detail.

How about the 2018 Mustang? Amazing like most previous generations with a slightly sportier redesign in comparison to the 2017 model. As the photo above displays, Ford offers another brilliant new color to dazzle us: Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat.

Yahoo.com Daniel Howley, Technology Editor, showcases an interesting informative video of the 2018 model along with an article with extra details including:

"The biggest changes to the new Mustang’s front end include all-LED lights and updated hood vents. Around back, the Mustang’s rear lights have been reshaped to look like large parentheses. Ford has also outfitted the rear of the Mustang with a new quad-tip exhaust, which just plain looks cool."

As far as cost this American icon remains beautifully and powerfully affordable for most. The 2018 base 2.3L EcoBoost will cost about the same as the 2017 model at around $27K with the GT V8 costing close to $35K.  Ready to buy one?  The wait will not be long as the 2018 models will be made available for purchase this fall. See Ford.com to receive updates and prepare for the ride of your life!

The fascinating and speed driven R8 now hits 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, a half-second faster than before, with a top speed of 205 mph! The Audi R8 will launch in early 2015; it will come to dealers as a 2016 model, at prices ranging from around $120K for a V-8 to over $250K for an R8 e-tron, built by special order only.

Audi will build all-electric versions on the R8 on special order. The new R8 e-tron is the first car from an established manufacturer to hold more electric power than a Tesla Model S — 92 kWh, which Audi says gives the e-tron a range of 279 miles, and can be recharged in two hours with Audi's high-energy charger. The e-tron is slower than the V-10 — 3.9 seconds to 62 mph, and a top speed limited to 155 mph — and Audi will only build them upon request, at a price that wasn't disclosed...Find out more about the R8V10 here.   Check out the Youtube video of the smokin hot R8 in action!

Sports Car Dreams...

Have you ever dreamed of owning a sleek, high speed, sports car loaded with every amazing feature there is to offer?  Have you made your dream come true?  Today we will focus on the hottest sports cars hitting the streets in 2015 and a little history regarding the beginning of the world's love for the Sports car. According to ask.com:

The basis for the sports car is traced to the early 20th century touring cars and roadsters. These raced in early rallys, such as the Herkomer Cup, Prinz Heinrich Fahrt, and Monte Carlo.[4]  Though the term sports car would not be coined until after World War One, the first sports cars are considered to be the 3 litre 1910 Prince Henry (Prinz Heinrich) Vauxhall 20 hp (tax rating) and the 27/80PS Austro-Daimler designed by Ferdinand Porsche.[4]

Sports cars range in price from premium, top of the line (may need to win the lottery to swing the dream) to affordable for most average middle class budgets.   US News & World Report scanned the web for some of the most affordable sports cars on the market for 2015.  We at Richard's like this site because you  find detailed specs, efficient images, reviews, rankings, average price tag, etc.  that help you decide if it is worth taking a closer look at the lot.
